The State Election Commission of Maharashtra has de-recognised MIM party for not filing proof of tax returns and audited accounts. It is learnt that the State EC had served a show-cause notice to the party four months ago however MIM didn’t respond.
Meanwhile a party spokesman told that they’ll appeal to the EC and will submit all the proofs to fulfil the norms. MIM has been working hard to gain presence other states such as Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Maharashtra. In 2014 assembly elections MIM won 2 seats and now wants to make a mark in the civic body elections in 2017.
