Hyderabad: Marking the second anniversary of the Telangana formation day, CM K Chandrashekar Rao has unfurled the highest flag (291 feet) on the banks of Hussain Sagar in Sanjeevaiah Park. However Ranchi has the distinction of being hoisted the highest flag (293 feet). It was initially decided by the government to hoist the flag at 303 feet. However it seems the Airports Authority of India has not given permission. Till it was hoisted it was maintained that the height of the flag would be 303 feet. The flag hoisted today is the heaviest weighting about 60 KG and cost about 1.8 crore to make this flag.
